Subjects stole up to $2 million worth of jewelry in smash & grab

Brooklyn, NY – On January 8, 2023, at approximately 5:00 p.m., three subjects entered a high-end jewelry store and proceeded to use a hammer to smash through display cases.

One subject was initially buzzed into the store, while two of his accomplices were nearby. The subject who was buzzed in held the door open for his two accomplices. One of the subjects then brandished a hammer, and said, “this is how you use a hammer.” The subjects smashed through display cases and stole approximately 100 rings.

The owner says the subjects only took big-ticket items and they knew which cases to take from. During the robbery, one of the subjects threatened to shoot a worker when she reached for her phone. The robbery lasted approximately 38 seconds, and the subjects escaped with $1 to $2 million worth of jewelry.
