On 12/31/20, in the afternoon, a suspect later identified as 26-year-old Shampayle Strother, went into a department store and inquired about seeing jewelry. When the 89-year-old clerk started to unlock the drawer, the subject reached over. The clerk put her hand out and said, ‘No.’ The suspect used his other hand to hit the clerk on the side of the head. He knocked her into the counter and then onto the floor.
