East Garden City, Long Island (NY) – On April 1, 2017 18-year-old Imani Merchant stole a pair of earrings from a jewelry store. She placed the rings in her pocketbook and then left the store.
Merchant was stopped by security. At that point, she brandished a taser and threatened the guard. After fleeing the mall she was apprehended by Nassau County Police.
