Suspects arrested after committing 10 armed robberies

Durham, NC – On September 12, 2017, 25-year-old Ramonte Hershell Pettiford was arrested for committing at least 10 robberies. Three out of the ten robberies occurred at stores that sell jewelry.

The jewelry stores were targeted as recently as July 8, July 10, July 24, and September 9; one store was targeted twice.

All of the robberies involved the use of guns. According to investigators the crimes involved up to three people; 24-year old Jontavious Kyree Lyons was charged with committing three armed robberies. He was arrested on August 31, 2017 in Alberta, VA.

The third suspect has not been identified. � The suspects usually took cash in the robberies. No one was injured in any of the robberies.
