THIEF ARRESTED AFTER IMPERSONATING FBI AGENT – GARDEN CITY, NY

On 11/23/19, 51-year-old Michael Morgan was arrested after he went to a jewelry store in Garden City, LI on 10/28/19 and presented a gold badge and posed as an FBI agent. He also wore an FBI jacket. Morgan inquired with the jeweler about purchasing a loose diamond. He told the jeweler he would pick up a cashier’s check to finalize the purchase. Morgan later returned to the store with a forged JP Morgan Chase cashier’s check to steal the diamond. Morgan was charged with grand larceny, criminal impersonation, and possession of a forged instrument.
