Frankfurt, Germany- November 13, 2024, Police in Germany have arrested four suspects who allegedly participated in a jewelry heist at Frankfurt Airport.

The police said on Wednesday that a suitcase full of jewelry was stolen on November 8 from a dealer who had taken it with him to the airport. The man estimated the value of the suitcase at €1.2 million (about $1.3 million).

After analysing security videos, the police were able to establish that at least four people were involved in the theft. They were able to locate these individuals in the Mainz-Mombach area of western Germany. The suspects, who are aged 63, 51, 49 and 43, were arrested with items of luggage as they left the building in which they were staying. They are now in police custody.
