Reward Program Policy**

Purpose

The Jewelry Security Alliance (JSA) Reward Program is designed to support the prevention, investigation, and prosecution of crimes against the jewelry industry. The program encourages the reporting of credible information that leads to the identification, arrest, and prosecution of individuals or groups engaged in criminal activity targeting jewelers and related businesses.

Scope of the Program

The JSA Reward Program applies to criminal acts committed against the jewelry industry, including but not limited to:

  • Robbery (armed or unarmed)
  • Burglary and smash-and-grab theft
  • Cargo theft involving jewelry, precious metals, or gemstones
  • Organized retail crime affecting jewelry businesses
  • Fencing, trafficking, or resale of stolen jewelry
  • Fraud or conspiracies directly related to jewelry crime

The program supports investigations conducted by law enforcement agencies at the local, state, federal, and international levels.

Reward Eligibility

JSA may offer a monetary reward for original, credible information that directly results in:

• The identification of suspects, and

• The arrest and prosecution of individuals responsible for crimes against the jewelry industry

Eligibility is determined solely by JSA based on the relevance, accuracy, and value of the information provided, as well as the outcome of the investigation.

Reward Amounts

•Reward amounts vary depending on the nature and severity of the crime and the significance of the information provided.

•Rewards may be offered up to a specified maximum amount, as determined by JSA on a case-by-case basis.

•Payment of any reward is contingent upon an arrest and, where applicable, successful prosecution.

Confidentiality and Anonymity

•JSA treats all tips with strict confidentiality.

•Tipsters may remain anonymous to the extent permitted by law.

•Information may be shared with appropriate law enforcement agencies solely for investigative purposes.

Submission of Information

Information may be submitted to JSA through designated phone numbers, email addresses, or secure reporting channels. Tipsters are encouraged to provide as much detail as possible, including names, descriptions, locations, methods of operation, and supporting evidence when available.

Limitations and Conditions

  • The program is for information purposes only; individuals should not attempt to investigate, confront, or apprehend suspects.
  • JSA reserves the sole right to determine reward eligibility, amount, and payment timing.
  • False, misleading, or self-serving information may result in disqualification.
  • JSA is not obligated to offer or pay a reward in every case.
