Distraction Thieves Use Sleight-of-Hand To Steal a Cross!

Oakland Park, FL – On September 8, 2019, three subjects surreptitiously utilized a sleight-of-hand distraction technique to steal a cross from a jewelry store.

While the employee conversed with two women, the male subject stole the cross unbeknownst to the jeweler. The three subjects agreed to purchase jewelry and then left to purportedly get money from an ATM. However, they never returned. The owner realized the theft occurred a couple of days after the crime.
