DISTRACTION THEFT – WHITE PLAINS, NY

On 4/29/19, at approximately 2:00 p.m., two suspects speaking in accented English stole jewelry. The suspects asked to see several items. One of the sales associates presented the suspects with three watches. As one of the suspects was examining the watches, he began to make aggressive hand movements to examine different watches. He asked to see additional watches. A second associate then brought the suspect a fourth watch. The second associate was unaware of the suspect being presented with the three watches. Moments later, one of the suspects pulled out his wallet and asked the associate how they would like him to pay, in an effort to convince them he was a real client. During the presentation, one of the suspects concealed a watch in his hand. The suspects then ended their conversation by saying they would bring their father in to look at watches. The suspects then exited the store. Shortly after they left, the associates realized that one of the watches was missing. One suspect was in his 20’s and the other appeared to be in his early 30’s.
