SNEAK THEFT – ABILENE, TX

On 1/17/18, at approximately 12:55 p.m., a male subject inquired about engagement rings. He was presented with several rings and discussed having a layaway receipt for another jewelry store in the mall. During the presentation, the subject had two diamond rings in his possession. The sales associate noticed one of the rings was not returned and was missing. The subject then left the store. When the sales associate was questioned by management she said she panicked and did not know how to address the subject. The subject was described as a 220 pound white male. He is in his early 30’s and unshaven. He was last seen wearing a black cowboy hat, sunglasses, dark jeans, a blue shirt, camouflage jacket and tan work boots.
