On 4/12/16, two subjects went to the home of a jeweler and told him they had one of his employees bound with zip ties. The two subjects ordered the jeweler to come with them in their car. The jeweler complied and entered the backseat of the subjects’ Nissan Altima. As they were driving through a neighborhood, the jeweler pulled out a concealed weapon, and then shot and killed the driver of the vehicle as well as the passenger in the front seat. The vehicle, having no driver, struck a car and then crashed into the side of a house. The jeweler sustained minor injuries, while both suspects were pronounced dead on the scene. The deceased suspects are identified as 34-year-old Lanard Lafare Wilson Jr., and 25-year-old Selvy Austin.
