San Bernardino County, CA – On August 21, 2026, Brandon Marcus Hall, (featured above) was sentenced to 81 years to life in state prison for a pawn shop robbery and shooting prosecutors say he directed. The crime resulted in the death of 32-year-old pawn shop employee Jason Cullen.
The crime occurred on January 10, 2018 in Highland, CA. On that date, Hall and two of his accomplices entered the pawn shop and tried to commit a robbery. A shootout ensured between Cullen and the robbers. Cullen was killed and Hall mortally wounded him. Before the robbers fled from the store, they threw two Molotov cocktails at Cullen.
Investigators discovered Hall’s fingerprints were on a schematic map of the store inside a getaway vehicle and his DNA was found on gloves and masks used during the shooting. The District Attorney said Hall also sent incriminating text messages to his girlfriend and made admissions to her about the homicide. Hall was convicted of first-degree murder on July 23rd.
