Newark, DE- On July 24th, a grab-and-run occurred at a jewelry store in Newark, DE. The suspect entered the store and was greeted by an employee. He stated he was going to browse gemstones as a gift for his mother. He also stated that he wanted to buy a gold chain to match a bracelet he said he had. He selected a chain and asked to try it on. He then said he wanted to see one that was 14K. When the suspect and employee went back to the gold case, the suspect turned and ran out of the door with the chain on his neck. No injuries were reported during this incident. The suspect is believed to have committed additional crimes in PA, NJ and DE.
Suspect(s) Description: White male, 6 foot, 35-45 age, thin muscular build, tattoos on arm, black shirt with white stripes, blue jeans, black cap, blunt hair, blue eyes, glasses, and crooked teeth.
