Two Detroit Men Sentenced for Smash & Grab Robbery

Bay City, MI – On September 19, 2019, 22-year-old Derrick Hebron and 20-year-old Jerone Hamler, were each sentenced to 63 months or 5.25 years in prison for a robbery which occurred on October 22, 2018, in Saginaw, MI.

During the commission of the crime, Hebron and Hamler were assisted by 18-year-old Darrel Green and an unidentified 14-year-old. Green has pleaded guilty to conspiracy to interfere with commerce by robbery.

The suspects admitted that on October 22, they drove to Saginaw, MI in a stolen 2005 Chevrolet Uplander. They then went on to purchase a sledgehammer in Flint, MI.
