Jewelry store employee shot in robbery

Waukegan, IL -Â On November 27, 2021, at approximately 2:50 p.m., two subjects entered a jewelry store and began firing shots.

A female employee was shot and taken to a hospital after she sustained non-life threatening injuries. Radio traffic from the fire department indicated the employee was shot in her arm or hand. After the shooting, the two subjects fled in a white Honda sedan. The vehicle had its front license plate on the passenger side dashboard.

One of the subjects is a Black male. He was last seen wearing blue jeans and the second subject is a Hispanic male with tattoos on his face and neck. He was last seen wearing an all-white athletic outfit. One of the subjects may have been shot in the leg during the robbery.
