Bronx, NY – On August 10, 2022, at approximately 7:30 p.m., a group of 10 masked subjects used hammers to smash through a jewelry store’s display cases. They also used bear spray repellent to incapacitate employees.

During the robbery, one of the subjects displayed a gun, and another subject deployed multiple cans of bear spray on 6 employees. The subjects escaped with a large amount of jewelry valued at $800,000. All 6 workers were hospitalized, but they were treated for minor injuries. This crime occurred less than a week after a $2 million jewelry store robbery in the Bronx, which can be found here. Watch the video below for more information.

No physical description of the subjects was provided. They escaped in a blue sedan. If you have any information regarding these subjects, please contact the Jewelers’ Security Alliance at jsa2@jewelerssecurity.org or 212-687-0328.
