About

The Jewelers’ Security Alliance (JSA) is a nonprofit trade association dedicated to improving the safety and security of the jewelry industry. Founded in 1883 in New York City, JSA has been a trusted resource for jewelers for more than a century, providing crime data, security guidance, training, and real-time investigative support for 20,000 members.

JSA maintains close and long-standing partnerships with federal, state, and local law enforcement, working collaboratively to track jewelry-related crime, share intelligence, and assist in investigations. Acting as a fusion center for all jewelry crime, JSA brings together information from the industry, law enforcement, and other partners to create a centralized, coordinated picture of threats and criminal activity.

We also maintain a one-of-a-kind proprietary crime database relied on by both the jewelry industry and law enforcement to identify criminal patterns, emerging threats, and organized groups targeting jewelers.

JSA is deeply committed to security, education and outreach, helping jewelers and law enforcement stay informed and prepared. Our efforts include:

  • Crime Alerts that provide timely updates on incidents, trends, and suspects.
  • Text Alerts for immediate notification of urgent threats.
  • Consulting services to help strengthen their security practices.
  • Speaking engagements and training sessions that deliver expert guidance to jewelers and law enforcement.

In addition to consulting on physical security, JSA consults on cybersecurity, helping jewelers recognize digital risks, strengthen their systems, and protect sensitive information from online threats and fraudulent transactions.

With its deep industry roots, experience, and knowledge, JSA remains the leading authority on jewelry crime prevention and an essential partner in safeguarding the trade.
