Honolulu, HI– police are searching for a suspect after a robbery at a jewelry store in Kakaako on Wednesday afternoon.

The Honolulu Police Department said the incident happened around 12:35 p.m. at 1181 Kapiolani Blvd., where a man entered the store and threatened employees before smashing display cases and taking jewelry.

Police said the employees were not injured.

The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived, and no arrests have been made.

Witnesses described the suspect as a white man about 6 feet 6 inches tall and 250 pounds, with a slim build, wearing a white shirt and pants, a black beanie and a surgical mask.
