ARMED ROBBERY – MIAMI, FL

On 10/12/17, at approximately 1:16 p.m., a suspect told a jewelry store associate that he was looking for a birthday gift for his mother. He stated that she likes tennis bracelets. After being presented with bracelets and discussing pricing, the suspect lost interest in the bracelets. The suspect then requested to look at a pendant. As the associate was opening the showcase, the suspect handed her a note that read “I have a gun! Give me what I want!.” At that point the suspect reached into the showcase and grabbed items. The suspect instructed the associate to open other cases, however, the associate did not have access to keys. The associate then loudly stated she could not get the keys out of the lock. The suspect then left the store with merchandise. He was described as a 33-year-old Black male. He is 5’9” and has a thin build. He was last seen wearing a red and white checkered shirt, black pants and a red cap. If you have any information regarding this suspect’s identity, please call Miami Dade Police at (305) 279-6929.
