ATTEMPTED ROBBERY- NEW YORK, NY

On 8/7/16, at approximately 4:00 p.m., a subject inquired about a chain in a display case. As one of the sales associates went in the back of the store to get the key, the subject brandished an air gun and held it up to the female associates head. The woman screamed, which led the male associate to confront the subject. The male associate tried to wrestle the gun from the subject. The subject managed to retain control of the BB gun. When he pulled the trigger, the gun fell apart. The subject then fled the store. He was described as a 6’2” black male. He weighs 160 pounds and is 23-years-old.
