BURGLARY SUSPECT APPREHENDED – SAN ANTONIO, TX

On 4/21/20, police arrested 33-year-old Frank Hernandez for an attempted ATM theft and a jewelry store burglary. On 2/23/20, surveillance footage captured a gray 2001 Chevy Tahoe at the scene of the attempted ATM theft. In that incident, Hernandez allegedly used spray paint to paint over the ATM’s camera lens. Law enforcement was able to identify Hernandez as the subject because of his distinct facial features.

On 3/27/20, a gray Chevy Tahoe was impounded after it was left at the scene of a burglary at a jewelry store. That was the same vehicle used in the attempted ATM theft. Investigators found paperwork linking Hernandez to the vehicle. The spray paint found in the vehicle also matched the spray paint used on the ATM. Hernandez is being held on bonds totaling $100,000.
