DISTRACTION – EVERETT, WA

On 3/9/20, at approximately 5:50 p.m., a male and female subject went to a retail a jewelry store and told the sales associate that they were just looking. The associate then informed the subjects about payment options. At that point, the male subject asked to see a chain. After he tried on the chain, he asked if he could see a longer chain. He made this request as his female accomplice inquired about payment options and ear piercings. The female subject said she would be interested in ear piercings when her daughter was born

At this point, the male subject said he was “”no longer interested” and handed the associate a chain. The associate noticed the chain was not the same weight and that the male subject had switched the chains. The male and female subject then quickly exited the store. These subjects may have committed a similar crime in� Puyallup, WA on 3/7/20.

The male subject was described as White or possibly Hispanic. He is approximately 5’8″ and in his early 30’s. He was last seen with braided black hair with white colored beads in his hair. He also has short kept facial hair.
The female subject is Hispanic. She is 5’4″ and has a small build. She is also pregnant and has brown hair tied up with light brown/blonde colored tips. If you have any information regarding these subjects, please call the Jewelers’ Security Alliance at 212-687-0328.
