DISTRACTION THEFT – AKRON, OHIO

On 1/31/17, at approximately 7:30 p.m., two suspects asked to see multiple diamond rings. While the sales associate was conducting a presentation with the suspects, they interrupted by asking several questions about repairs. The sales associate had one ring on the ring pad and was in possession of a second ring. After she concluded the conversation with another associate, the suspects stated they would be right back. At that time, the associate realized a ring was missing. One suspect was described as a 30-year-old Black male. He is 5’11” and has dark skin. He was last seen wearing a black coat.
