DISTRACTION THEFT – TULALIP, WA

On 07/15/23, at 10:50 a.m., a male and female couple entered a jewelry store and inquired about chains and crosses, and after the male subject chose which one he wanted, his female companion applied for credit. After trying on the chain and cross, the male subject removed them and kept them in his hand. At one point, the male subject had discreetly put on his jacket and either concealed them in his jacket pocket or possibly passed them off to the female companion.Â

The video confirms that neither of the two items were returned to either team member assisting the couple. A second team member returns after retrieving an iPad but shortly thereafter, the couple exited the store without further incident. Later in the day it was discovered that the two items were not in the showcase. The following descriptions of the subjects were provided:

Subject #2 — Female, Black, 30-years-old, 5’5”, 145 lbs, long black straight hair with a few hairs parted on top separated near her forehead, wearing all black. She also had a large black bag with her at that time as well. Her identification had the first name Ricquel.
