Fugitive apprehended after stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry

February 10, 2021 - Delaware

On the date listed above, the U.S. Marshals Service in Delaware arrested 22-year-old Michael Larbi. He was implicated in stealing hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of jewelry from several jewelry stores in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland.

Based on information that has been publicly released, Larbi’s pattern of Grab and Run thefts began on October 28, 2020 after he stole $77,000 in jewelry from a jewelry store in Marlton, NJ.

On November 2, 2020 Larbi grabbed a pair of diamond rings valued at $20,000 from a store in Hainesport, NJ.

On November 5, 2021, he went on to steal $97,000 in high-end gems from a store in Haddon Heights, NJ. Physical evidence from similar thefts in Maryland led investigators to a break in the cases from New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
