GLOUCESTER, Va. (WAVY) — A 27-year-old man was arrested Saturday in connection with a larceny at a Gloucester jewelry store and a vehicle pursuit.

Deputies responded to Kay Jewelers, located at 6738 Fox Center Parkway #7, around 5:15 p.m. for a reported robbery. While responding, deputies observed the suspect vehicle attempting to flee the area.

A pursuit was initiated and later concluded without incident in York County. The suspect was apprehended and treated for minor injuries at a local hospital.

Gabriele Randazzo was charged with grand larceny, statutory burglary, felony evade and elude law enforcement and reckless driving. He was taken to Gloucester County Jail after being discharged from the hospital and held without bond. The investigation is ongoing. Additional charges in Gloucester and York County may be forthcoming.
