On 4/9/2024, at 2:00 p.m., a subject entered a jewelry store and asked to see a gold chain. Chains were shown to the subject and she selected one to purchase. The subject asked to see a pendant and a ring as well. After she selected the items she wanted, the subject asked to try them on together to see how they matched. When the subject was in possession of all three items, she fled from the store. She got into a white RAV4 with no license plates and left the area. Lafayette Police responded to investigate the incident.
