On 10/11/21, at approximately 4:40 p.m., a male subject entered a retail jewelry store under the pretense of shopping for a birthday gift for his son. The subject requested to see a chain. During the presentation, the subject requested to feel the weight of the chain. When presented with the chain, the subject fled the site and mall with the chain. No injuries were reported. A report was immediately filed with the Aurora PD, who will continue the investigation. The subject was described as being White with a tan complexion. He is 5’8″, and approximately 48-years-old. He also has short dark hair and a slight “hunch” on his back. He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, jeans, and a gray mask.
