LAKEWOOD, Wash. — Four masked suspects armed with a long gun and axes robbed a Lakewood jewelry store Wednesday, according to Lakewood police.

Just before 4 p.m., one suspect rang the buzzer to enter Crown Jewelry at 3816 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, police said.

When the door opened, three other suspects entered behind them. The suspects smashed display cases and took an unknown amount of jewelry, police said.

The store’s entrance door automatically locks when someone enters, so the suspects broke the glass door and windows to escape, according to police.

They fled in a vehicle, but no description was available. All four suspects wore hoodies and masks, and their ages and genders were unknown.Police said no one was injured and no suspects were in custody.
