MUSICIAN FACING JAIL TIME FOR GRAND THEFT OF JEWELRY

30-year-old singer Sean Kingston was recently charged in connection with grand theft for failure to pay for jewelry that was delivered to him. Law enforcement does not intend to actively search for Kingston, however, the warrant would come up if Kingston was detained or pulled over.

In 2018, Kingston was ordered to pay $301,500 to a jeweler based in New York City. In that matter, the jeweler filed a lawsuit over nine pieces of jewelry that were never paid for. In 2015, Kingston was ordered to pay $356,000 due to unpaid purchases to another jeweler. Kingston faces up to three years in prison if he is convicted. His bail was set at $45,000.
