Detroit, MI – On April 23, 2019, 32-year-old Arthur Berry Jr. appeared in federal court to face charges of conspiring to interfere with commerce by robbery.
Berry had been a fugitive of justice since 2015. He was recently arrested by the FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) Phoenix Division on March 18, 2019.
He was accused of being the leader of a group that committed robberies at six jewelry stores. The stores were in Ohio, Connecticut, Virginia, Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Michigan.
Berry was the last fugitive prosecuted from a group of almost two dozen suspects who were prosecuted for their involvement in these robberies.
