On 12/29/19, Port Angeles Police received reports at about 2:40 a.m., that a man was inside an antique shop, and there was broken glass in the doorway. A police officer and his K-9 located a burglary subject in an alley. The subject was later identified as 53-year-old Timothy Rohn. While Rohn was in the ally, he pulled out a meat cleaver and held it above his head, in what police described as a threatening manner. After he ignored police commands to drop the weapon, an officer tried using a stun gun, but it was ineffective. Rohn subsequently dropped the cleaver and was arrested. Officers found that Rohn was in possession of several items of jewelry.
