On 7/3/19, 28-year-old Deven Strauther was charged with robbery. Strauther is accused of attempting to rob a jewelry store in St. Louis, MO on May 25, 2019. Authorities say Strauther and an accomplice entered one set of doors at a jewelry store. They then found the second set of doors were locked. Strauther then kicked in the lower portion of the glass and entered into the second door. At that point, the store’s owner and an off-duty officer fired at the robbers. Strauther returned fire and then fled with his accomplice in a stolen sedan.
