Robbers Steal 197 Million Yen from Jewelry Salesmen

Bangkok, Thailand – On October 2, 2017, two jewelers were robbed of over 197 million yen ($1.7 million USD) in cash.

According to investigators, a merchant instructed his business partners to transport 197 million yen to a condo. As his partners arrived at the condo’s parking lot, five to six men wearing skullcaps surrounded the businessmen.

The subjects brandished a gun and then assaulted the two businessmen. The assailants proceeded to tie the victims wrists and feet. They then taped their mouths shut and covered their heads with sacks.

The suspects proceeded to escape in a Ford truck.
