Roseville, CA- (FOX40.COM) — Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a high-value jewelry store burglary at the Westfield Galleria at Roseville, authorities said.
According to the Roseville Police Department, officers responded in the early morning hours of Jan. 31 to a report of a commercial burglary in which more than $180,000 in merchandise was stolen.
Detectives launched an extensive investigation and identified two suspects believed to be linked not only to the Roseville burglary but also to additional cases in neighboring jurisdictions, police said.
On March 25, Roseville police said they led a coordinated, multi-agency operation that resulted in the arrest of both suspects without incident.
Authorities reported that investigators also recovered a portion of the stolen jewelry.
Both suspects were booked into the South Placer County Jail on multiple felony charges, including burglary, organized retail theft and conspiracy, RPD said.
Police credited the success of the investigation to regional collaboration, including assistance from the Citrus Heights Police Department, the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Organized Retail Crime Unit and Special Enforcement Detail, and the Placer County District Attorney’s Office Investigations Division.
Authorities stated that the case underscores the importance of Interagency cooperation in addressing organized retail crime and holding offenders accountable.
