SHOTS FIRED IN GUNPOINT SMASH AND GRAB – AKRON, OH

On 4/27/17, at approximately 8:00 p.m., three men and one woman committed a violent gunpoint robbery of a jewelry store. According to Investigators, the three men were armed with handguns and an axe. Two of the suspects used the axe to smash display cases. They then grabbed jewelry. During the robbery, the jeweler came to the front of the store from a back room. A suspect then fired. The bullet hit the jeweler’s watch. It ricocheted and caused a 6-inch gash on the jeweler’s forearm. The first suspect was described as a white male in his early 20’s. He is about 6’0” and weighs 165 pounds. He has blonde messy hair along with a beard and moustache. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie with gray jogging pants and black shoes. This suspect was wielding the gun, he also has a birth mark or mole on the left side of his face. The second suspect is a dark skinned black male. He is in his early 20’s and is approximately 6’0”. He weighs 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black mask, a hoodie with blue striped black pants and black shoes. The third suspect is a black male in his early 20’s. He is 6’0” and weighs 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black mask, a black hoodie and black pants. The female suspect is a black woman. She was the driver of the vehicle. No description is available. The jeweler sustained non-life threatening injuries.
