SMASH AND GRAB ARRESTS – AUBURN, AL

On 6/4/18, at approximately 4:00 p.m., two subjects entered a jewelry store and began smashing display cases with a tire jack. They grabbed jewelry and then fled from the store. Auburn police responded and pursued the subjects in their vehicle. At that point, the subjects abandoned their vehicle and fled on foot. One subject was taken into custody following the foot pursuit. Â A second subject was later arrested in a parking lot after a citizen alerted police to a suspicious person.
