SMASH & GRAB – EL PASO, TX

On 6/6/2022, at approximately 6:30 p.m., a smash and grab occurred at a kiosk inside a mall. Two subjects approached the kiosk and used a metal water bottle to break the glass on one case. The subjects then grabbed at least one display with gold bracelets. They were observed by mall security, who then chased them as they ran towards the mall exit. Both subjects fell and dropped some of the merchandise, which was recovered and returned to the kiosk. The El Paso Police Department arrived and will continue the investigation. The subjects were described as 5’7″ Hispanic males. The first subject wore a white shirt, dark blue or black shorts, and white shoes. The second subject wore a red shirt and dark pants. If you have any information regarding these subjects, please contact the Jewelers’ Security Alliance at jsa2@jewelerssecurty.org.
