On 2/6/22, at approximately 3:00 p.m., a smash and grab robbery occurred at a retail jewelry store. A male subject entered the store and immediately produced a hammer from his jacket pocket, and began to smash the first three showcases upon entry to the store. The store’s team members and guests moved from the subject to the back of the store as a second unknown male subject entered and began to remove all merchandise from the three showcases. Both subjects quickly ran from the store upon the removal of merchandise. There were no injuries to associates or customers during this incident.
The first subject was described as having a dark complexion. He is approximately 5’6″, and has a thin build. He was last seen wearing a dark-colored beanie, dark sunglasses, and a handkerchief covering his face. He also wore a black/red/white jacket. The second subject is approximately 6’1″, and has a thin build. He was last seen wearing a hat and a handkerchief. If you have any information regarding these subjects, please contact the Jewelers’ Security Alliance at jsa2@jewelerssecurity.org or 212-687-0328.
