SNEAK THEFT – MIAMI, FL

On 8/6/21, at approximately 4:11 p.m., a sneak theft occurred at a jewelry store, and a diamond enhancer was stolen. A female subject requested to see diamond enhancers and over the course of 30 minutes, numerous enhancers were presented and returned to the showcase. However, about 19 minutes into the presentation, the subject appeared to be handing back an enhancer, then questioned the sales associate about the price of a three-carat enhancer. At that moment, the subject maintained possession of the enhancer and the sales associate was working on the tablet for a price. It was then the subject placed the enhancer in her right side pant pocket. The subject continued to ask about enhancers, then moved along to two other categories of merchandise with questions and exited. The loss was discovered during the counts on 8/9/21, and a video review confirmed the theft.

The subject was described as being Middle Eastern and in her early 40’s. She is 5’4, thin, and has dark hair in a ponytail. She was last seen wearing a brownish colored top and pants, white shoes, and a blue surgical mask. She was wearing yellow gold merchandise, claimed she was from Dubai, and spoke Arabic.
