SNEAK THEFT – TOMS RIVER, NJ

On 8/12/23 at 4:00 p.m., a male guest entered a jewelry store and was greeted by a team member. He stated that he was looking for tennis bracelets as a gift. He was taken to the bracelet case where the understock drawer was opened to see bracelets that were being kept there. The subject squatted down and put his hand inside the drawer with the team member looking on. Several items were picked up by the subject and the team member, and returned to the drawer when finished reviewing. When the guest stood up it appeared that he was holding something in his hand that he placed in his pocket.

He looked at a few more things and then left the store without making a purchase. On 8/14/23, when case counts were completed, a bracelet was determined to be missing. Video review identified this incident.
