Subject Sought in Jewelry Store Theft

Brooklyn Jewelry Thief

Brooklyn, NY – May 19, 2024 – The New York Police Department is investigating a grab and run theft that occurred on May 19, 2024, at approximately 3:40 p.m, when a male subject entered the store. The subject was greeted by a sales associate, and looked at ladies rings. The subject then asked to see men’s rings. The sales associate did not feel comfortable showing the subject the ring, so it was shown on the team member’s finger.

Once the ring was on the team member’s finger, the subject grabbed the ring, sliding it off. The subject then fled out of the store and up the street. The subject was described as a 25-year-old Black male. He has dread locks and a slender build. He was last seen wearing distressed blue jeans and white sneakers. If you have any information regarding this subject, please contact the Jewelers Security Alliance at jsa2@jewelerssecurity.org or 212-687-0328.
