On 3/13/19, 30-year-old Chanell Flemming was ordered to serve one year in jail for her role in a jewelry store smash and grab robbery. In January, Flemming pleaded guilty to larceny over $200,000; conspiracy to commit larceny and malicious destruction of property between $1,000 and $20,000. The charges were a result of a robbery Flemming participated in from May 2018. Flemming and her accomplice; KK Lavon McGillary, 29, and Jamar E. Owens, 23, � used hammers to break display cases and steal rings, diamonds and other merchandise. McGilary was sentenced to four to 15 years in prison, while Owens was sentenced to time served; 159 days, and three years’ probation.
