On July 30, 2020, the featured subject entered a jewelry store in Harrisonville, MO and cased the store. An employee reported that the subject was “all over the board” regarding what he wanted to see.
On the following day, the subject returned. All staff were busy with customers in the main showroom. The subject ignored the jeweler’s greeting after he entered the store.
The subject then proceeded to the store’s Bridal room. At that point, all employees were still engaged with customers. A review of video footage showed the subject went behind a case and got keys. He returned to the public side of the case, reached over and after three attempts to find the correct key, he unlocked the case. The subject removed a ring.
The image below is from the casing on July 30. On the day of the theft he wore a ball cap and a Covid-mask.
The subject is known to have committed thefts in the following states: Missouri, New York, Illinois, Louisiana, North Carolina and Arkansas. The subject was described as having a speech impediment in past thefts.
