Six person distraction team

June 15, 2017 - Glendale, CA

Glendale, CA – On June 15, 2017, at approximately 6:15 p.m., a team of thieves perpetrated a distraction theft.

Two of the suspects approached the store owner as the business was closing and asked him to make a quick purchase.

The owner allowed the suspects, comprised of five women and one man to enter the store.

One of the women bought jewelry, while the others asked employees if they could look at or try on merchandise.

While the suspects distracted employees, one of the women surreptitiously went behind the counter and took jewelry from an open safe. The woman concealed the jewelry in the pocket of her skirt.

All six suspects spoke with an unknown accent. If you have any information regarding the identities of these individuals, please contact the Jewelers’ Security Alliance at (212) 687-0328.
