3 ROBBERS NAMED; 1 WROTE A LETTER OF APOLOGY TO GUARD – AUSTIN, TX

The Federal Bureau of Investigation ( FBI) has named the three suspects accused of committing a robbery and shooting at a jewelry store in Austin, TX on 5/7/20. The suspects are Darius Limar Sonnier, 21; Wallace Daiveon Charles, 20; and Tye Joseph-Phillip Gobert, 18.

A review of surveillance footage on 5/7/20 showed that at least five subjects were next to a silver 4-door Chevrolet Cruze in the parking lot before the robbery. At least nine employees and two customers were in the store at the time of the robbery. An employee inside the store stated that she saw one of the suspects point a gun at the security guard, fire a shot and then the guard reached for his side. Another suspect hit the female employee in the back of the head with a gun.

Police arrested three of the suspects shortly after the robbery and located their getaway vehicle. A K-9 trained in firearm detection alerted officers that someone who fired a gun had touched or was in the car. Sonnier admitted to shooting the security guard when he was interviewed by the FBI.
