82-year-old woman knocked down during robbery

Melbourne, Australia – On October 17, 2018, at approximately 2:30 p.m., a man wearing a vest jumped over a jewelry store’s counter and smashed the display cabinet. He escaped with more than $100,000 in jewelry.

During the course of the robbery, an 82-year-old employee approached the subject. She was violently pushed to the ground, which resulted in her suffering a head injury. The subject then fled from the store in a white 1997 Honda Accord.

The employee was taken to the hospital for observation. The status of her injury is unknown.
