On 4/8/2024, at approximately 4:45 p.m., three male subjects entered a jewelry store under the pretense of looking at gold chains. The male sales associate greeted the group and began to show them a chain. While the case was open for the associate to retrieve a second chain the first suspect went around the counter and put the associate in a choke hold as the other two suspects grabbed multiple items out of the case. The associate complied and put his hands up trying to back away and the suspect holding
him put his hand on his waist line implying that he had a weapon on him.
When the two suspects started to flee, the suspect holding the associate let him go and grabbed more merchandise before following the other two. They encountered a security guard as they were running out, because the store manager had already texted security to do a walk-by when the group entered. The security guard tried to use a pepper spray on the group and follow them, the guard was punched by the suspects. The security guard said the subjects fled in a older white 4 door car.
