Distraction Theft

Fort Smith, AK – On January 7, 2017 at approximately 12:30 p.m., a male and female couple entered a retail jewelry store. They said they wanted to buy a watch.

After the sales associate presented them with a high-end watch, the male subject displayed a large bundle of cash and counted the money to distract the sales associate.

As the sales associate turned his attention to the male counting cash, the female suspect reached into the watch box and concealed the watch into her pocket. She then closed the box.

The suspects then left the store. They said they would return with more money.

The female suspect was described as being in her 50’s and 5’2″ tall. The male suspect was described being in his early 60’s. He is 6’0″ tall and had several gold dental fillings and missing teeth. He also has a heavy mustache and wore a cowboy hat.

The suspects drove off in an older model BMW sedan with Texas license plates. These suspects have also been spotted in Tulsa, OK.
