Miami, Florida- A $50,000 reward is now being offered for a man with ties to Miami who’s accused of taking part in a $1 million heist at a Florida jewelry store earlier this year, authorities said.
Alberto Perez-Elias is wanted for his alleged involvement in the Jan. 6 robbery at a Cape Coral jewelry store, FBI officials said Tuesday.

Authorities said Perez-Elias and others broke into a vacant business next to the jewelry store then busted through the wall.
Once they were inside the jewelry store they held the manager at gunpoint then gained access to a safe and took thousands of pieces of jewelry worth over $1 million, authorities said.
A federal arrest warrant was issued for Perez-Elias in June 24 charging him with conspiracy to interfere with commerce by robbery, interference with commerce by robbery, and use of a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence.
Perez-Elias was born in Cuba but has ties to Miami and Hialeah, FBI officials said. He was described as 5-foot-6, 150 pounds, and has used dates of birth of July 15, 1968, and July 12, 1972.
The FBI said he should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-CALLFBI.
